About the author

Yamika currently works at the Ceres Accelerator for Sustainable Capital Markets. She focuses on engaging corporations to align their climate lobbying with climate science, company policies, and company targets. She also supports Ceres’ engagement with corporate boards, promoting best practices in ESG and climate oversight – including committee structure, director competency, risk management, and executive compensation linkages.  

Prior to Ceres, Yamika worked with the Foreign and Commonwealth Office to promote British economic policy across North America via diplomatic levers, including initiatives on ending coal use and increasing offshore wind capacity in the US.  

Yamika graduated with an MS in Economic Policy from the School of Oriental and African Studies at the University of London, where she researched how public finance policies in India can be used to increase funding for renewable energy projects.
